It all depends. Where are you at with your application? Have you started getting letters of recommendation yet? Have you been working on your personal statement? These are big things and if you are starting from scratch you would have to work on these things fast!
Bottom line is that you are late in the cycle, but not out of range. I have friends in my class at DCOM that didn't get their applications in until October/November, but you don't want to be that late. The sooner you get your stuff in the better chance you have.
Remember that DO schools look at more than MCAT and GPA, they look at commitment to osteopathic ideals too. Applying early to DO schools shows a strong desire to be an osteopathic physician. So get stuff in fast if you can, you are late, but not completely out of the game.
